Description of the course:
ITIL 4 Managing Professional (ITIL MP) is a stream of four modules that are part of ITIL 4, the next evolution of ITIL.

The four modules are:
- ITIL 4 Specialist Create, Deliver and Support
- ITIL 4 Specialist Drive Stakeholder Value
- ITIL 4 Specialist High-velocity IT
- ITIL 4 Strategist Direct, Plan and Improve.
ITIL 4 MP has been created for IT practitioners working within technology and digital teams across businesses.
The Managing Professional (MP) stream provides practical and technical knowledge about how to run successful IT enabled services, teams and workflows.
To obtain the designation ITIL 4 Managing Professional or ITIL 4 Strategic Leader, the candidate must complete all modules in each stream, with ITIL Strategist being a universal module for both streams. To obtain the ITIL 4 Managing Professional certification you will either have to:
- Pass the ITIL 4 Managing Professional Transition Module. In order to access this module, you must have obtained 17 credits from ITIL v3 certification scheme or 15 credits from ITIL v3 and ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
- Undertake all the ITIL 4 MP training courses and exams (CDS, DSV, HVIT, DPI).
Accredited training for the ITIL Managing Professional modules is mandatory to enable full understanding of the core material. All modules have ITIL 4 Foundation as a pre-requisite.
Objectives
- ITIL 4 Foundation: understand the new ITIL 4 concepts and definition
- Create, Deliver and Support (CDS): understand how to integrate different value streams and activities to create, deliver and support IT-enabled products and services, and relevant practices, methods and tools
- Drive Stakeholder Value (DSV): understand all types of engagement and interactions between a service provider and their customers, users, suppliers and partners, including key CX, UX and journey mapping concepts
- High Velocity IT (HVIT): understand the ways in which digital organizations and digital operating models’ functions in high velocity environments
- Direct, Plan and Improve (DPI): acquire practical skills necessary to create a ‘learning and improving’ IT organization, with a strong and effective strategic direction
Course Format & exam pass marks
- Number of questions: 40
- Type of questions: multiple choice
- Marks: 40 marks available.
- Provisional pass mark: 70% or higher (28 marks or above)
- Duration: 90 minutes (113 for non-native speakers)
- This is a ‘closed book’ examination
- Prerequisites: 17 credits under the ITIL v3 Credit Scheme or ITIL Expert certification.
Intended audience:
- Existing ITIL Expert qualification holders
- Professionals who have 17 Credits with the ITIL v3 credit scheme, wishing to develop their knowledge and application
Course length:
5 days training, exam taken on the last day (preparation and sitting the exam). The course can be also delivered in virtual mode, respecting the standard course length.
Requirements for homework:
During the Course, there will be Exercises and homework assigned to be completed prior to the exam.
